Preferential : If other conditions being equal, the Home Guard Volunteers who have completed a tenure of three years in that organizations and who have satisfactorily undergone training in Fire Fighting during the period of tenure shall be treated as having preferential qualification for direct recruitment to this post

Probation:- Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he joins duty after he completes the training and examination will be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years

Training:- Candidates selected should undergo a course of training for a period of 4 months in the State Fire Service Training School, and pass the examination in the subject prescribed for the course.

Note: A written and practical test will be conducted at the close of training.Those who fails to qualify themselves at the test, will have their training extended for a period of one month at the end of which they shall be tested again in the subjects in which they have failed. Those who fail to qualify themselves in the re-test shall be discharged from the service.

Bond:- Every person appointed to the post shall compulsorily serve in the Department for 5 years after completion of training. He shall execute a bond intending to serve for a period of not less than 5 years and shall pay to Government a sum of Rs 2,700/- in case he fails to serve in the department for the said period.
